Horizon Art Installation at Mercato
This winter, Mercato introduces Horizon, an interactive outdoor art exhibit blending light, sound, and nature. Launching just in time for the holidays, the installation features five cocoon-shaped pods, each with a curved bench that activates synchronized light and sound displays when rocked. Inspired by natural themes—starry vault, flock of birds, and calming canopy—the exhibit offers a serene, sensory experience accompanied by soothing music.
Created by Olivier Landreville with Serge Maheu, produced by Init, and tour-managed by Quebec-based Creos, Horizon opens to the public on November 22, running through February 9.
This unique installation reflects Mercato’s commitment to fostering community connections and embracing modern placemaking trends.
